To replace the permanent, washable pre-filters with the
Odor-Lock
pre-filters, remove the standard washable
pre-filter assembly by pushing on the top tab (Fig.16).
The pre-filter assembly has two pre-filters that will need
to be popped out of the pre-filter frame. Hold the frame
steady from the side while pushing in the center of each
pre-filter from the back side of the frame (Fig.17). This
will separate the pre-filter from the frame and you can
then pull it completely away from the frame (it will snap
out) (Fig.18). Save the permanent washable pre-filters
as you may choose to use them in the future.*
To insert the Odor-Lock
pre-filters into the pre-filter
frame, line the tabs on the pre-filter up with the frame
notches and snap into place (Fig.19).
Install the Odor-Lock
filter assembly by inserting the
lower tab of the pre-filter frame into the filter assembly
until you hear a “click” (Fig. 20).
Align the complete filter assembly with the opening in
the unit and insert back into the unit (Fig. 21).
NOTE: The Odor-Lock
filters are not washable.
CLEANING THE WASHABLE PRE-FILTER (ALL MODELS)
To remove the pre-filter:
Press the top tab to release the pre-filter from the filter
assembly (Fig. 14).
To clean the pre-filter:
The particle pre-filter helps pick-up large airborne particles
that enter the filter. The pre-filter can be removed and rinsed
by hand under warm water (Fig. 15). Let the pre-filter dry
completely before inserting it back into the unit.
Some models are shipped with bonus odor control pre-filters that are not washable. After the pre-filters
have lost their odor reducing capability over time (approximately 3 months), you can order replacement
Odor-Lock
pre-filters by calling the Kaz USA, Inc. Consumer Relations Department at 1-800-477-0457.
